Star of Love
Most of us can't explain the intricate way
electricity is. It just is. The only thing most
of us know is there is a power plant somewhere
that creates the energy for many of the modern
conveniences we use. Consider light. We flip a
switch and the lights go on. We have a choice in
making the light brighter or dimmer. This happens
according to the wattage we use. The higher the
wattage: the brighter the light. The closer we get
to the light the brighter it becomes to our eyes.
God is much like this analogy. We can't explain
why life is put together for us as individuals from
beginning to end. Except through Jesus, we can't
see God. We can't see electricity either. But, we can
see the miraculous results we receive from electricity
and God. Both give us light, but in two different ways.
The more we are like Jesus, the brighter our lives will
shine. The closer we areto Jesus, the more radiance
there will be in our lives. It reflects back to everyone
we come in contact with. The light of Christ gives a
purpose and meaning: Empowering us to live our
lives in love for one another,
1 John 4:7,8 - "Beloved, let us love one another. For
love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of
God and knows God. He who does not love, does
not know God. For God is love."
Rev. 22:16 - "He is the offspring of David. The bright
and morning star."
Life can be our "Star of Love" through Jesus. To
make it brighter than its ever been before. It's our
choice.
